Visiting the website
The services delivering this website may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps and security events. This is used to deliver, secure, diagnose and maintain the service and is limited to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
School Connection does not currently provide reader accounts or public comments. The School Solar & PPA register is a voluntary enquiry form. General browsing information is not sold or used to create supplier sales leads.
School Solar & PPA register
If you submit the voluntary register, we collect your name, work contact details, role, organisation, postcode, preparation stage and any enquiry you choose to provide. We use these to respond to your request and manage an appropriate professional enquiry record. Please do not include pupil information or sensitive personal data.
Registrations are stored in a protected Supabase database and are not publicly accessible. We review retention within 12 months and remove or anonymise records no longer needed, subject to legitimate record-keeping requirements. Contact privacy@schoolconnection.co.uk to request access, correction or removal.
An optional indication of interest in an introduction does not authorise sharing your details. Before any introduction, we explain the named organisation and information proposed for sharing and confirm your permission. Registration is not an application to the DfE pilot or a commitment to any supplier. The readiness checklist stays in your browser session unless you choose to download it; it is not automatically submitted.
Email correspondence
If you contact us, we process the contact details, message and supporting material you provide in order to respond, assess an editorial matter, keep an appropriate professional record or meet a legal obligation. Please avoid sending pupil data or highly sensitive material until a secure route has been agreed.
Cookies and future services
School Connection does not intentionally use non-essential advertising or profiling cookies in the current publication. Essential delivery or security technologies may be used by service providers to operate and protect the site.
If audience analytics, newsletters, accounts or other reader services are introduced, this notice and any necessary consent controls will be updated before those services are relied upon.
Retention, sharing and rights
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, security, journalistic record or legal requirement involved. It may be shared with contracted service providers or professional advisers where necessary, with safeguards appropriate to the service and jurisdiction.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable exemptions, you may have rights over access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability. You can contact us first and may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
